Evandro Davi Holz is a Senior Urban Development Consultant from Brazil. An Urban Engineer with more than 12 years of experience in more than 15 countries, his expertise includes urban management, resilience, housing, territorial planning, policy development, climate change, project finance and environmental management. He holds a MSc. in Urban Management (TU Berlin) and a BA (hons.) in Civil Engineering (UFRGS, Brazil).

Evandro has worked globally with assignments in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Europe. He started his career in the private sector, having worked for two years in construction and more than seven years in environmental assessments in the world’s leading sustainability firm ERM. After completing his master’s degree, he shifted his career towards urban development, advising inter alia UN-Habitat, GIZ, Rapid Urbanism and TSPA.

Recently, Evandro has started new initiatives for the development of digital platforms supporting cities and other institutions in improved urban management. This includes a tool for disaster risk management (H.A.R.D.) that is piloted with funding from the Argentinian government; further, H.A.R.D. has been selected for the 21st generation of the Start-Up Chile programme. Lastly, he is the co-founder of the IAUAI Institute for Advanced Urbanization and Artificial Intelligence with the purpose to develop a digital twin for urban scenario planning, built upon Rapid Urbanism’s framework.
